Romantic or Realistic?:

An Evaluation of the Application of Communism in the 20th Century

Communism is a political ideology that seeks to establish a classless social organization that is based on common ownership of the means of production. The concept of communism is not bad, but it is so romantic that it is difficult to achieve in reality. The two earliest communist states are the Soviet Union and China. For China specifically, two major campaigns, the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution were purposely to build the communist society in China but they were unsuccessful. However, the ideology is not wrong, but people can still learn from these experiences and do better in the future.
